Transformation, as in greater self-understanding, intellectual growth, and action toward a more caring and just society, is the audacious hope I hold for my teaching.
To foster that transformation, I create classrooms where connection, empathy, and perspective-taking undergird rigorous intellectual exploration.
In addition to psych courses like Psychology of Gender and Theories of Personality, I teach courses for the Black Studies Program, including Black Women's Health, Black Feminisms, and The Black Woman.
In 2025, I received Kennesaw State University's Distinguished Professor Award—the institution's highest faculty honor—in recognition of my sustained excellence in teaching, research, and professional service.
